Sports Injuries Specialists in Horley & Reigate

Here at SB Physiotherapy, we are award-winning physiotherapists who specialise in the treatment of sports injuries across Horley, Reigate and wider Surrey. We are proud to deliver a range of services that help facilitate recovery.

We treat patients in our centre and out in the community who have sustained common sports injuries and require a programme of rehabilitation. As experienced physiotherapists, we work with patients with a range of sports-induced injuries, supporting them with our specialist knowledge and recovery plans tailored to individual needs.

Ankle Sprain Treatment

Anyone who has experienced ankle pain will know how debilitating it can be. A sprained ankle is usually caused by the stretching or tearing of the ligaments, with repeat injuries often common. Physiotherapy can help alleviate discomfort and prevent damage to the ankle joint. A broken ankle often requires a longer recovery plan, with physiotherapy incorporated into medical treatment.

Hamstring Muscle Injury

A pulled hamstring is often the result of high-speed sports and activities like running, football and other track and field sports. This thigh injury occurs when the muscle is stretched beyond its limit.

Plantar Fasciitis

A painful condition affecting the feet, plantar fasciitis occurs when the tissue becomes inflamed - this can develop through extensive walking or running or sometimes due to poor gait or even ill-fitting shoes.

Knee - ligaments, ACL, runner's knee

The knees are a hinge joint and can become inflamed and distorted due to overuse and injury. Knee ligaments are often injured during high-impact sports like rugby and football, plus they can also be impacted by ‘runners knee’.

Hip & Groin Pain

A common occurrence in athletes; hip and groin pain is often the result of muscle strains, tendon injuries and hip joint problems.

Achilles Tendonitis

Characterised by soreness in the Achilles tendon, Achilles tendonitis can cause swelling at the back of the foot, often caused by a sudden change in exercise intensity or taking up a new sport.

Tennis & Golfer's Elbow

Affecting the wrist extenders in tennis players and the flexors in golfers, tennis and golfers elbow occurs when the tendons that connect the forearm to the elbow become inflamed.

Lower Back Pain

Low back pain has a range of origins, including sciatic and herniated discs. Treatment will depend on the root cause.
