At SB Physiotherapy, our “Fit For Home” service provides intensive rehabilitation for patients, in respite care or those recently discharged from the hospital, who wish to try to regain their independence and return home.
We understand that the journey to full recovery doesn’t always end with hospital discharge; for many, the transition to temporary respite care is a vital phase where confidence, physical strength, endurance, and balance may still be compromised.
Tailored Respite Physiotherapy Packages
We offer tailored Respite Physiotherapy packages, providing intensive physiotherapy within care homes across our service areas. Typically lasting around six weeks, these packages are designed to support recovery during respite care, particularly after hospital discharge after falls, fractures, operations, or general post-hospital-stay deterioration from conditions such as falls, fractured hips, or other illnesses, with the goal of helping patients achieve greater independence before returning home. We maintain strong relationships with various care homes and care home groups, ensuring a collaborative approach to care.

Our rehabilitation programmes are customised to each patient’s needs, focusing on restoring strength and endurance, repairing balance, and promoting independence.
