At SB Physiotherapy, our dedicated team of physiotherapists and therapy assistants provide expert care across Horley, Surrey and surrounding areas, helping patients recover from injury, maintain mobility, and improve quality of life. From musculoskeletal (MSK) clinic-based physiotherapy to home and community-based care, our clinicians work together to ensure seamless treatment and personalised rehabilitation plans.
All our staff are HCPC registered and members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, combining professional expertise with a warm, patient-centred approach. Whether you are recovering from surgery, managing long-term conditions, or looking to prevent injuries, our team offers tailored physiotherapy solutions for every stage of your journey.
All of our physios are qualified Physiotherapists, registered with the Health & Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)

Your First Point of Contact at SB Physiotherapy
Our Clinical Administration Team plays a vital role in ensuring every patient’s journey with SB Physiotherapy is smooth, organised, and welcoming. Often the first people you will speak to, our administrators support patients with enquiries, bookings, appointment coordination, and communication across both our MSK clinic services in Horley and our Physio at Home Community Team.
Working closely with our physiotherapists, the admin team helps ensure the right clinician is matched to each patient’s needs, whether that’s clinic-based physiotherapy, home visits, or ongoing rehabilitation. They are always happy to answer questions and help guide patients to the most appropriate service, creating a calm, professional and supportive experience from first contact through to ongoing care.

Della joined SB Physiotherapy in October 2024, bringing with her a wealth of experience from six years working alongside Celia and the Physio at Home Community Team. With a strong background in secretarial and PA roles, both in London and locally, Della plays a key role in supporting patients accessing physiotherapy services across the Surrey/Sussex border region, and the surrounding areas.
As a Clinical Administrator, Della helps ensure the smooth running of SB Physiotherapy by managing bookings, coordinating clinician schedules and supporting both our MSK clinic services and community physiotherapy appointments. Her excellent organisational skills and attention to detail help create a seamless experience for patients, whether they are attending the clinic or receiving physiotherapy in their own home.
Outside of work, Della enjoys an active lifestyle with her two lively Springer Spaniels and loves spending her holidays exploring the French countryside. With her warm personality and dedication, Della helps ensure every patient feels welcomed, supported and well cared for from their very first contact with SB Physiotherapy.

Sharmela joined SB Physiotherapy in June 2025 and brings extensive experience from working in hospital environments, alongside many years of administrative expertise. She is often the first point of contact for patients, supporting enquiries and bookings for both MSK physiotherapy and community physiotherapy services.
Working Monday to Friday, Sharmela plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of the clinic. She supports the MSK side of the service and assists with coordinating Physio at Home and community-based physiotherapy appointments, helping patients across Horley, Crawley, Reigate and the wider area, access the care they need in a timely and organised way.
Outside of work, Sharmela enjoys spending time with her two children and her playful Maltipoo puppy, Teddy.

Our MSK (musculoskeletal) Team specialises in clinic-based rehabilitation, sports injuries, joint and muscle recovery, and performance optimisation. Working from our Horley clinics, our physiotherapists support patients of all ages, from active adults and weekend warriors to those managing long-term musculoskeletal conditions.

Stephen (Steve) Brown is the co-founder and MSK Team Lead Physiotherapist at SB Physiotherapy, providing expert musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy to patients across Horley, Surrey and the surrounding areas. He works with active adults, runners and sportspeople to reduce pain, recover from injury and return to full function.
Steve graduated with First Class Honours in BSc Sports Science from the University of Brighton in 2005 before completing his MSc in Rehabilitation Science (Physiotherapy) in 2008. His early career included NHS junior rotations at Eastbourne District General Hospital and East Surrey Hospital, alongside international volunteer work in Kenya supporting children with special needs and the Kenyan national football team.
A significant part of Steve’s career was spent working in professional football, including roles with Crystal Palace FC Academy, Plymouth Argyle FC Academy, Chelsea FC Academy and Millwall FC as a First Team Physiotherapist. This experience underpins his specialist approach to sports injuries, running-related injuries, rehabilitation and performance-based physiotherapy.
Since co-founding SB Physiotherapy in 2016, Steve has focused on delivering high-quality MSK physiotherapy within the clinic, combining evidence-based treatment with a holistic, patient-centred approach. As a keen runner who has completed multiple marathons including London, Paris and Brighton, Steve brings both clinical expertise and personal insight to injury prevention and recovery.

Bayron is a Senior MSK Physiotherapist at SB Physiotherapy, working across both the MSK Clinic Team and the Physio at Home Community Team, providing joined-up physiotherapy care for patients in the clinic and in their own homes across Surrey/Sussex and the surrounding areas.
Bayron graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from May Hamilton University in Venezuela in 2012. He completed a three-year junior rotational programme at the Dr Alejandro Rhode Rehabilitation Centre, gaining broad experience across musculoskeletal physiotherapy, orthopaedics, hydrotherapy, neurological rehabilitation, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, spasticity and hand therapy. Alongside this, he worked in private practice specialising in sports injuries and shoulder rehabilitation.
After relocating to the UK, Bayron developed extensive experience working with patients with complex and long-term conditions, before focusing his practice on musculoskeletal physiotherapy combined with community-based care. This breadth of experience allows him to effectively bridge clinic-based rehabilitation with ongoing physiotherapy at home.
At SB Physiotherapy, Bayron treats a wide range of conditions including back and neck pain, joint injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries and age-related mobility issues, adapting treatment plans to suit both clinic and home environments.

Amy is a Senior MSK Physiotherapist at SB Physiotherapy, working exclusively within the practice across both the MSK Clinic Team and the Physio at Home Community Team. She supports patients attending the clinic as well as those receiving physiotherapy in their own homes across Horley, Crawley, Reigate and the local community.
Amy qualified with an MSc in Physiotherapy from Brunel University in 2019 and has developed a strong foundation in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and community-based rehabilitation. Her experience across a variety of clinical settings informs her adaptable and patient-centred approach.
Amy has a particular interest in sports-related injuries, movement rehabilitation and strength-based recovery, supporting patients with joint pain, muscle injuries, post-injury rehabilitation and long-term MSK conditions. Working across both clinic and home environments allows her to tailor treatment programmes to each patient’s goals, lifestyle and physical setting.
Outside of work, Amy has a strong sporting background, having worked as a physiotherapist for the Irish Korfball team during international tournaments, and she continues to play Korfball at National League level. She also trains in CrossFit, giving her valuable insight into the demands of returning to sport and fitness after injury.

Rhiannon (Rhen) is a Senior MSK Physiotherapist at SB Physiotherapy, working within the MSK Clinic Team to support patients with musculoskeletal pain, movement dysfunction and performance-related injuries. She has a particular interest in golf-related injuries, golf performance optimisation and Clinical Pilates.
Originally from rural New South Wales, Australia, Rhen graduated with Distinction in Physiotherapy from Charles Sturt University in 2018 and has since gained over a decade of combined experience working in private practice and hospital settings, treating a wide range of MSK conditions.
Rhen is Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) trained, allowing her to assess how physical limitations affect the golf swing. She works with golfers of all levels to address issues such as back pain, hip and shoulder restrictions, rotational control and injury prevention, combining hands-on physiotherapy with targeted exercise and movement retraining.
Alongside her work with golfers, Rhen has a strong interest in Clinical Pilates and breathing assessment and retraining, supporting patients to improve posture, core control, mobility and movement efficiency as part of long-term rehabilitation.
Outside of the clinic, Rhen enjoys spending time outdoors, travelling, playing golf and being with family and friends.

Community / Physio at Home Team
Our Community and Physio at Home Team brings expert physiotherapy into your own home or care environment, supporting patients across Horley, Crawley, Copthorne, Redhill, Reigate, Lingfield and surrounding areas. This team focuses on older adult rehabilitation, post-hospital recovery, falls prevention, maintaining independence, and mobility improvement.
Whether you are recovering after a hospital stay, managing a long-term condition, or seeking support to maintain daily function, our Community Team delivers personalised, hands-on care and home-based exercise programmes. By combining physiotherapy expertise with practical support, they help patients regain confidence, maintain independence, and enjoy a better quality of life.
This service is particularly suited to older adults, individuals at risk of falls, and those experiencing reduced mobility, confidence or function. By delivering physiotherapy in real-life environments, the team addresses practical challenges that cannot be fully resolved in a clinic setting.

Celia Johnson is the Community Team Lead Physiotherapist at SB Physiotherapy, overseeing the Physio at Home Community Team and supporting patients in their own homes and care environments across Horley, Surrey and the surrounding areas. She specialises in rehabilitation for older adults, maintaining independence, falls prevention and supporting at-risk populations, including patients recovering from hospital stays or living with dementia.
Celia qualified from Oxford Brookes University in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. She completed her junior rotations at East Surrey Hospital, including Care of the Elderly, Respiratory and Outpatients, and progressed to senior roles in the Care of the Elderly and Acute Medical Teams. She also spent a year with the Chichester Hospital Respiratory Team.
In 2016, Celia established the SB Physiotherapy Community Team to bridge the gap between hospital discharge and return to previous function. She has built a skilled team of therapists, enabling the practice to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care in the community.

Arek is a Senior Community Physiotherapist at SB Physiotherapy, delivering home-based and community rehabilitation across Surrey. He focuses on post-operative rehabilitation, recovery after hospital stays and improving functional independence for older adults and deconditioned patients.
Arek qualified from St George’s University in London in 2021, following a degree in Strength and Conditioning Science from St Mary’s University, Twickenham. His combined experience in physiotherapy and strength & conditioning allows him to take a holistic approach, using exercise and hands-on therapy to optimise long-term patient outcomes. Arek also has experience as a personal trainer and working with rugby and football clubs.

Cameron qualified from the European School of Physiotherapy, Amsterdam in 2021, with internships in Ghana, Spain, Guernsey and Sierra Leone, and a Minor in Global Health. He worked in NHS community rehabilitation at Gosport War Memorial Hospital, and has experience in international sports physiotherapy, including as Team Ghana Athletics physiotherapist at the African Olympics in 2024.

Georgia holds a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science from Loughborough University and an MSc in Physiotherapy from Brunel University. She has also trained as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, with certifications in Reformer and Mat Pilates, Personal Training, and Level 4 BACPR (Cardiac Rehabilitation). Carly is passionate about holistic wellness, helping older adults with gentle rehabilitation, relaxation and comfort to enhance quality of life and support recovery.

Angela is a Physiotherapy Assistant supporting home-based and community rehabilitation across Horley, Surrey and the surrounding areas, with a focus on regaining independence and maintaining function for older adults following hospital discharge or long-term care.
Angela began her career in the NHS in 1991 as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, working across hospital and community settings. She joined SB Physiotherapy in 2022 and brings over 30 years of experience in community rehabilitation, helping patients safely return to daily activities and maintain quality of life.

Alon qualified as a physiotherapist in 2012 from Tel Aviv University. Alon then spent the next 10 years working in both hospitals and the community, as well as with professional sports teams and athletes. He is a specialist in the fitting and adjustment of braces and orthotics
Alon joined SB Physiotherapy in 2023 after relocating from Tel Aviv to Sussex with his family. Alon’s specialist interests are sports injuries and rehabilitation post orthopaedic surgery.

Clare graduated in 2006 from St. George’s University before going on to work at East Surrey Hospital. In 2009, Clare specialised in Respiratory physiotherapy and worked in both the hospital and community teams. She moved to Croydon University Trust in 2017, working in the community as part of the Community Respiratory Team, specialising in Oxygen Therapy and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
Clare left the NHS in 2021 and joined SB Physiotherapy where she continues to have a passion for Respiratory and Cardiac rehabilitation.

Laura graduated from Brighton University in 2008 with a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Science (Physiotherapy) and has an extensive fitness background including; a BSc Sport and Exercise Science with Psychology, Premier Diploma in Sports Therapy and Personal Training and is a Qualified Fitness Instructor & Gym Manager
After qualifying as a physiotherapist she completed rotations at Eastbourne General Hospital (including Respiratory, Stroke, Care of the Elderly to name but a few). In 2012 Laura joined the Respiratory team at East Surrey Hospital, later becoming the Team Leader, before starting her current role in the East Grinstead ProActive Community Team.
Laura continues to have a very keen interest in Respiratory Physiotherapy and rehabilitation

Rebecca completed her BSc Physiotherapy degree in 2019 at Southampton University, after having gained a degree in Sports Psychology and Coaching.
Becca decided after her first degree that physiotherapy was the job for her. She worked in the NHS as a Physiotherapy Assistant until she enrolled to study Physiotherapy. After graduation she worked at East Surrey Hospital, working her way up to be a Rotational Band 6 Physiotherapist. Rebecca has a keen interest in rehabilitation post-cancer treatments.

Kate trained at Telford College In Edinburgh and qualified with a Higher National Diploma in Sports Therapy in 2001. During qualifying she worked with the Scotland ladies Rugby team and has continued her sports massage work at East Grinstead Rugby Club.
Kate joined the SB Team in March 2019, as a Physiotherapy Assistant. She works closely alongside the physiotherapists in seeing complex clients requiring the assistance of more than one person as well as maintaining exercise programmes for some of our more able clients.
Kate utilises her massage experience by offering massage sessions for our clients and has completed an accredited course with the London School of Massage to be able to complete Cancer Massage Therapy. Kate has a special interest in the care of palliative patients and those undergoing treatment for Cancer.
